The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance in Q2 2018”. This publication presents data on coal production, data on energy production and consumption, import and export of energy, as well as imports and export of other fuels.

During the second quarter of 2018 (Q2 2018) the total value of coal production was about 1.64 thousand tons. Whereas, the gross amount of electricity produced at the power plant was 1 402.5 GWh, and in the hydro power plant it was about 118.1 GWh.

Regarding imported energy values, respectively exported, during the second quarter of 2018, Kosovo imported 23.0 GWh of electricity, while during the same period Kosovo exported 344.2 GWh of electricity.

In the second quarter of 2018, the amount of electricity consumed was 1 136.7 GWh of electricity. Compared with the same quarter last year (Q2 2017), the amount of electricity consumed decreased by 6.7%.
