Energy Balance in Kosovo, May 2022
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released data on the production and consumption of coal, the production and consumption of energy, the import and export of energy, as well as the import and export of other energy resources
This statistical publication presents statistical data for the month of May 2022.
In May 2022, the gross generation from power plants was 525.96GWh; gross generation from hydropower plants was 16.88 GWh; and gross wind and solar generation of electricity was 18.81 GWh.
During the month of May 2022, the gross electricity available was 461.56 GWh, while the electricity consumption was 455.2 GWh, or (-93.34%) less compared to the same month of the previous year. The share of alternative electricity within the general consumption was 117.71%.
Meanwhile, the import of electricity in the month of May 2022 was 195.66 GWh, while the export of electricity in the same period was 295.75 GW.
Coal production was about 6.94 thousand tons, or 18.60% less than in the same month of the previous year.
