Energy Balance in Kosovo, 2016
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Energy Balance" for 2016.
This publication reflects the physical energy flows of all types and resources that were used in Kosovo during 2016.
The total (gross) amount of energy available for consumption in 2016 was 2688.62 ktoe (Kilo ton of oil equivalents). Compared with 2015, there was an increase of 7.07%.
The available coal extracted in 2016 was 1684.57 ktoe. Compared with 2015 there was an increase of 8.39%.
The available quantity of oil products in 2016 was 660.37 ktoe. Compared to 2015 there was a decrease of 1.34%.
Import of oil products for 2016 was 660.39 ktoe. Compared to 2015 there was a decrease of about 1.34%.
Oil accounts for 65% of the total amount of oil products available, followed by 11% gasoline, 8% oil coke, 6% liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) and so on.
