Economic Accounts for Agriculture, 2021

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the data for "Economic Accounts for Agriculture" for the year of 2021.

This release includes data on crop outputs, animal outputs and farm expenditure, in monetary terms.

Values ​​are presented by output prices at current and constant prices.

In 2021, crop outputs have increased by 11.5%, compared to 2020. The increase in the value of crop outputs can be explained mainly by the increase in the production of cereals, fodder crops, vegetables and garden products, fruits and potatoes.

Animal or livestock outputs have decreased by -8.4% in 2021, compared to 2020. The decrease can be explained by the decrease in the value of animal outputs.

Total crop and animal outputs have increased by 3.8% in 2021, compared to 2020.

The total intermediate consumption is estimated at 339.7 million Euros in 2021, which represents an increase by 7.4% compared to 2020.

Economic Accounts for Agriculture in 2020 are compiled according to the methodology defined by Eurostat: Manual on the economic accounts for agriculture and forestry EAA / EAF 97 (Rev.1.1) and Commission Regulation (EC) no. 306/2005.
