Economic Accounts for Agriculture, 2018

The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published “Economic Accounts for Agriculture” in 2018.

This publication includes data on crop outputs, livestock outputs and farm expenditure, in monetary terms. The values ​​are presented by output, current and constant prices.

In 2018, crop outputs decreased by (-3.8%), compared to 2017. The decrease in the value of crop outputs can be mainly explained by the decrease in vegetable and orchard outputs, and potatoes.

Whereas, livestock outputs has also decreased by (-0.9%) in 2018 compared to 2017. The decrease can be explained by the decrease in the value of livestock outputs.

Meanwhile, total crop and livestock outputs decreased by (-2.6%) in 2018 compared to 2017.

Intermediate consumption is estimated at around 302.0 million euros in 2018, representing an increase by 10.6% compared to 2017.

Economic Accounts for Agriculture in 2018 are compiled according to the methodology defined by Eurostat: Manual on the economic accounts for agriculture and forestry EAA / EAF 97 (Rev.1.1) and Commission Regulation (EC) no. 306/2005.
