Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published Economic Accounts for Agriculture for 2016.

This publication includes data on plant outputs, livestock output and farm expenditures, in monetary terms.

The values are presented at production prices, current and constant prices.

In 2016, total plant products have increased by 17.5% compared to 2015. Growth can be explained by the fact that the cultivation of vegetables and fodder crops has increased.

Meanwhile, livestock production has risen by 8.4% in 2016, compared to 2015. Growth can be explained by raising the livestock value.

Hence, total plant and livestock production increased by 13.5% in 2016, compared to 2015.

Meanwhile, total intermediate consumption has increased by 7.4% in 2016, compared to 2015.

Economic Accounts for Agriculture 2016 have been compiled according to the methodology established by Eurostat: Manual on the Economic Accounts for Agriculture and Forestry EAA/EAF 97 (Rev.1.1) and Commission Regulation (EC) No. 306/2005.
