The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the third quarter of 2021 (Q3 2021).

The total Construction Cost Index in Kosovo increased by 3.3% in Q3 2021 compared to second quarter (Q2) 2021. The largest increase was observed to: energy (13.4%); transport (6.7%); materials (3.6%); other costs (1.6%); machinery (0.9%); wages (0.8%).

Meanwhile, when comparing Q3 2021 with the same period of the previous year (Q3 2020) the Construction Cost Index increased by 15.2%. This increase in the index was mainly observed in the categories: materials (20.5%); energy (17.0%); other costs (4.3%); machinery (3.4 %); and wages (2.3%).

The increase of prices was counteracted mainly with the decrease in the prices of transport (-2.8%).
