The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the Construction Cost Index (CCI) in the second quarter of 2021 (Q2 2021).

The total Construction Cost Index in Kosovo increased by 6.3% in Q2 2021 compared to Q1 2021. The largest increase was observed to materials (8.6%); wages (0.8%); other costs (0.7%); and machinery (0.6%).

While, a decrease in prices was observed in energy (-1.4%).

Meanwhile, when comparing Q2 2021 with the same period of the previous year, Q2 2020, the Construction Cost Index increased by 12.1%. This increase in the index was mainly observed in the categories: materials (17.0%); energy (5.9%); machinery (2.8%); other costs (2.1%); and wages (0.6%).

The increase of prices was counteracted mainly with the decrease in the prices of transport (-6.6%).
