Administrative statistics on labour market, March 2023
The Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has released the Administrative Statistics on Labour Market for the month of March 2023.
These data are based on the data of the Tax Administration of Kosovo (TAK) and the Employment Agency of the Republic of Kosovo (EARK).
This release provides data on the number of employees categorized by: gender, age group, the number of employees with primary and secondary wages, the percentage of employees, economic activities, as well as data on job seekers registered by gender and age group.
In the month of March, 360 436 people were registered as employed with primary salary according to gender, of which 217 978 were males and 132 495 were females. Meanwhile, 17 335 people have been registered as employed with a secondary salary according to gender, of which 11 305 are males and 5 299 are females.
Employment according to activities and gender over the age of 15 was greater in: Public administration and protection, compulsory social insurance (22.7%); Wholesale and retail trade, repairs of vehicles and motorcycles (21.7%); Manufacturing (11.2%); Construction (6.2%); Accommodation food services activities and (5.5); Financial and insurance activities (5.3%), etc.
Meanwhile, registered jobseekers by age group were 27 776 people, of which 15 139 were males and 12 637 were females.
