Health Statistics publish data on the number of health institutions, the total number of employees in health care, according to educational lavel and gender qualifications, primary health care according to department and municipaliy, regional hospital activities, quality volume indicators in regional hospitals, the activities of the University Clinical Center of Kosovo, basic indicators of hospital treatment, pre-clinical services, malignant diseases, their number according to age group, services provided by oncology and the number of people with malignant diseases in Kosovo, patients with TB, contagious diseases in Kosovo, the health budget, health insurance in Kosovo, the number of licensed private health institutions and the activity of private hospitals.

Health Statistics publishes data byusing these classification systems: Classification of diseases according to SNC-10, International Classification of Occupational Classification (ISCO 88), International System of Classification of Education (ISCED 97). JSC 2001 Health Accounts under 2001, SHA2011 Health Accounts by 2011, SHA-OECD (odeku) and WHO.

      1. During July 2017 In Kosovo Agency of Statistics was conducted the process of assessment of the Kosovo Statistical System through the “Peer Review” approach.
      1. ccording to the User Satisfactory Survey conducted in 2014, the main request was to have more access in micro data and the aggregated data in Excel files.
      1. One of the key elements to ensure the quality of statistical data is the measurement of the satisfaction of users. The survey aims to gather comprehensive information on the needs and requirements of users of official statistical data. Through this survey the users of statistical data have expressed their thoughts and opinions regarding statistical views, they have provided advice and suggestions regarding their needs for statistics and how to improve these statistical data in the future. This survey was conducted during the conference held with the users of statistical data, in which 11 users responded. The questionnaire contained eight questions and included various topics: the use of statistical data, evaluation of KSA in general, the assessment of the site in KSA, evaluating the quality of statistical data, etc. More detailed information on this survey can find on the web:

      1. Health statistics are first compared to demographic statistics (births and deaths) within KAS. Health statistics are also used in the National Accounts sector to calculate health expenditures. A comparison is also made with the Household Budget Survey data.
