Biography of Chief Executive of KAS

Previous Experience
Mr. Krasniqi has been a Lecturer of Informatics at "Luigi Gurakuqi" gymnasium, in Klina form 1994 until 1998.

The trainer engaged by the "Soros" organization, in Klina municipality in the years 1997/98. The trainer in DOS operating system, Windows and Microsoft Office.

In 1999, enabled technical realization of the news agency “Kosovapress” and the radio "Kosova e Lirë".

Director of the news agency “Kosovapress” until the end of 1999,.Director of development and technical preparation in "Kosovo bauxites" company, from the end of
1999 until April of 2003. The owner and trainer of computer and the Internet school "Elcom" in Klina, from the beginning of 2000 until the end of 2002.

From April until October 2003, he headed the Division of Telecommunication Networks and Systems at the IT Department , at the
Ministry of Public Service (MPS).

One of the main governmental actors in the implementation of the project on application of PTK's Centrex Telephony in governmental institutions. Director of IT Department at MPS, during the period October 2003 until October 2005. By the end of 2003 he has been the main originator and carrier of the idea for implementation of E-mail System in governmental institutions.

Mr. Krasniqi is also the author of establishment of governmental domains and founder of New IT System Center in the Kosovo Assembly. The initiator of translation of Windows Operating System and Microsoft Office into Albanian by American Corporation "Microsoft". One of the originators of implementation of the Project of Government's Network via optical cable. The bearer of the projects connecting the municipalities into governmental IT network.

The founder of many electronic services in governmental institutions and representative of Kosovo in national and international meetings on the application of information technology and e-Governance in the country.IT advisor to the Minister of MPA in early 2008.The chairman of the Working Group for Drafting of the Action Plan and Implementation of Electronic Governance Strategy Mr. Krasniqi is the main drafter of Interoperability Framework of the Republic of Kosovo.
Education:
Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Prishtina, 1994,
Graduated Electrical engineer (5 year studies), branch: electronics.

Specializations (training):
Participated in the meeting of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe on information technology, held in Brussels, and the third(III) international
conference organized by CISCO in Ljubljana and the fifth (V) International Conference on telecommunications, held in Portoroz,
Slovenia.

Mr. Krasniqi has represented the governmental institutions in Rome regarding the implementation of information technology projects in
the municipalities of Kosovo, etc. Participated in numerous seminars and meetings in different European countries and in the U.S. relating to
information technology and e-Governance.

He has conducted these professional trainings:

- Advanced Management Training of Information
Technology (AMTIT).

- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer
(MCSD).

- Microsoft Certified Application Developer (MCAD).
- Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Obtained diploma in
trainings in Slovenia and Estonia on e-governance services. In 2009 was
certified for management at UBT

Publications:
Mr. Krasniqi is the author of the presentation "e-Governance, current situation and the perspective of the Republic of Kosovo" at international
conference on "e-Governance”. The author of the presentation "e-Governance - e-Procurement" at the International Conference on Public
Administration. The originator and also the main author of drafting of the "Electronic Governance Strategy 2009-2015" of the Republic of
Kosovo, where he has included also the module of Electronic Statistics,
Electronic Registers and national GIS. Mr. Krasniqi is the author of many web applications.
