Statistical Repertoire of Enterprises in Kosovo, Q3 2017
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the "Statistical Repertoire of Enterprises in Kosovo" for the third quarter (Q3) 2017.
In the third quarter of 2017 (Q3 2017) were registered a total of 2 215 enterprises.
Compared to the previous quarter (Q2 2017) there was a decrease of 0.98% of registered enterprises. Also, compared to the same quarter last year (Q3 2016) there has been a decrease of registered enterprises by 10.5%.
The most preferred economic activities during this quarter were: trade with 529 registered enterprises (23.9%); agriculture, forestry and fishery with 245 registered enterprises (11.1%); manufacturing with 225 registered enterprises (10.2%); accommodation and food service activities with 208 registered enterprises (9.4%); construction with 188 registered enterprises (8.5%); professional, scientific and technical activities with 186 registered enterprises (8.4%); other services activities (7.2%); while other activities take part in smaller scale.
The category of number of employees from 1 to 4 consists of 2 147 enterprises or 96.9% of registered enterprises; category of 5 to 9 employees with 49 registered enterprises (2.2%); with 10 to 19 employees with 12 enterprises (0.5%); 20 to 249 employees with 6 enterprises (0.3%); while in category 250+ employees is only one registered company during this quarter.
Regarding the geographic extent of the registered enterprises at the municipal level, as in every quarter prevails Prishtina with 668 registered enterprises (30.2%), Ferizaj with 188 registered enterprises (8.5%); Prizren with 177 registered enterprises (8.0%); Peja with 114 registered enterprises (5.1%); Gjilan with 100 registered enterprises (4.5%); Gjakova with 75 registered enterprises (3.4%); while other municipalities have smaller number of enterprises registered in this quarter.
