Short Term Retail Trade Statistics, Q2 2017

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Short Term Retail Trade Statistics" for the second quarter (Q2) 2017.

According to the published data, we can see that in the second quarter of 2017 there is an increase compared to the first quarter of 2017, to: Retail sale of foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco in specialized stores (13.9%); Retail sale in non-specialized stores (5.7%); Retail trade of cultural and entertainment goods in specialized stores (4.2%); Retail trade not in stores, stalls or markets (3.8%); Retail sale of other household articles in specialized stores (2.0%); Retail sale of fuel of vehicles in specialized stores (1.1%).

Meanwhile, the decrease was recorder to: Retail sales of IT and communication equipment in specialized stores (13.9%) and Retail sale of other goods in specialized stores (13.3%).

Meanwhile, compared the second quarter of 2017 with the second quarter of 2016, there has been growth in: Retail trade of cultural and entertainment goods, in specialized stores (31.6%); Retail sale of foodstuffs, beverages and tobacco in specialized stores (21.3%); Retail sale in non-specialized stores (16.6%); Retail sale of fuel for vehicles in specialized stores (13.1%); and Retail trade not in stores, stalls or markets (0.6%).

Whereas, the decrease was recorded at: Retail trade of other household appliances in specialized stores (2.5%); Retail sale of IT and communications equipment in specialized stores (2.3%); and Retail trade of other goods in specialized stores (1.1%).
