Kosovo Government Accounts, 2016

Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KSA) has prepared Government Accounts of Kosovo for 2016. This publication presents the statement of government revenues and expenditures within this period.

Revenues of the General Government in 2016 were 1 779.3 million euros. Compared with the previous year, there was an increase of 4.3% of revenues. Most revenue is made up of taxes on products, which represent 69% of total revenues; Current income tax, wealth, etc., 13%. While the remainder of revenues is distributed to other categories of revenues.

In 2016, the total expenditure of the General Government was 1 764.7 million euros. Most of the expenses comprise wages and salaries with participation of 31%; Social contributions and participatory benefits of 23%; The formation of gross fixed capital with a share of 22%; Intermediate consumption with participation of 10%, while the remainder of expenses is allocated to other categories of expenditures.

This publication has been prepared in full accordance with the International Monetary Fund Government Finance Statistics Manual (GFSM 2014) and the European System of Accounts (ESA 2010).
