Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by economic activity and by expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q2 2016
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) for the second quarter of 2016 by economic activity and by expenditure approach at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q2 2016 marks the real growth by 3.3% compared with Q2 of 2015.
The real growth of GDP by economic activity is as follows: transport and storage with 10.9%; hotels and restaurants by 7.8%; financial and insurance activities by 5.1%; electricity supply, water supply and waste treatment with 4.8%; wholesale and retail trade by 4.6%; construction by 4.0%; and agriculture, hunting, forestry 2.0%.
Meanwhile, the real drop was in the data for: the real estate business (4.9%); extractive industry (2.1%); public administration (1.1%); and the processing industry (1.0%).
GDP by expenditure approach has grown in: the gross capital formation by 10.2%; imports of goods and services by 8%; and final consumption expenditure of households and non-profit institutions in the service of households (NPISHs) with 6.5%.
Meanwhile, the real decline was in the Government final consumption expenditure (8.1%) and the export of goods and services (0.5%).
