Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by economic activity and by expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q1 2016
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published "Gross Domestic Product" (GDP) for the first quarter of 2016 by economic activity and by expenditure approach at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q1 2016 marks the real growth by 3.8% compared with Q1 2015. The real growth of GDP by economic activity is as follows: hotels and restaurants with 14.0%; construction with 8.2%; other services 3.5%; transport and storage 3.3%; wholesale and retail trade 3.1%; electricity supply, water and waste treatment with 2.4%; financial and insurance activities 2.2%; and others with a smaller increase.
Meanwhile, the real drop was in: extractive industry (8.1%); the real estate business (4.0%); public administration (2.2%).
GDP by expenditure approach has been growing in the gross capital formation by 22.1%; imports of goods and services by 13.0%; final consumption expenditure of households and non-profit institutions in the service of households by 5.3%; exports of goods and services 0.6%; and the final consumption expenditure of government by 0.9% compared with the same period of 2015.
