Gross Domestic Product (GDP) according to economic activity and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q2 2017
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the second quarter (Q2) 2017, according to economic activity and expenditure approach, at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q2 of 2017 marks a real increase of 4.6%, compared with Q2 of 2016.
Real GDP growth by economic activity is as follows: Extractive industry (23.9%); Construction (21.9%); Financial and insurance activities (11.5%); Transport and storage (8.3%); Hotels and restaurants (8.0%); Other services (4.5%); Wholesale and retail trade (3.6%); Processing industry (3.1%); Real estate business (1.8%).
While, real decline was to: Electricity, water supply and waste treatment (4.8%); Agriculture, hunting, forestry (2.8%); and Public administration (0.7%).
GDP according to the expenditure approach has increased in: Export of goods and services (19.4%); the Gross Capital Formation (17.1%); as well as in the Import of goods and services (1.2%).
Meanwhile, the real decline was to: Cost of final consumption of household and non-profit institutions serving households (3.2%); Government’s Final Consumption Expenditures (1.8%), compared to the same period of the previous year.
