Gross Domestic Product (GDP) according to economic activity and expenditure approach (at current and constant prices), Q1 2017
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KSA) has published Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for the first quarter (Q1) 2017 according to economic activity and expenditure approach, at current and constant prices.
GDP in Q1 of 2017 marks a real increase of 3.9% compared to Q1 of 2016.
Real GDP growth by economic activity is as follows: Extractive industry (21.9%); Construction (16.4%); Other services (12.2%); Financial and insurance activities (12.1%); Wholesale and retail trade (7.1%); Transport and storage (6.7%); Hotels and restaurants (6.5%); Real estate business (5.9%); Processing industry (5.3%); And supply of electricity, water and waste treatment (1.5%).
Meanwhile, real decrease was recorded in agriculture data (4.0%) and public administration (3.9%).
GDP according to the expenditure approach has increased in these activities: Gross Capital Formation (13.7%); Export of goods and services (4.5%); Cost of final consumption of household and non-profit institutions serving households (3.9%); Import of goods and services (3.8%).
While, real decline was in Government's final consumption expenditures (10.7%).
