Gross Domestic Product (GDP) according to economic activity and expenditure approach, 2008-2016
Kosovo Agency of Statistics (KAS) has published data for Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for 2016, according to economic activity and expenditure approach, based on ESA 2010.
GDP at current prices in 2016 was 6,070.1 million euros. Real growth in 2016, compared to 2015, was 4.06%. Whereas, GDP per capita for 2016 was 3 386 euros.
The real growth for 2016 was in these economic activities: Construction 4.47%; Financial and insurance activities 4.39%; Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles 4.38%; Transportation and storage 4.30%; Electricity, gas supply 4.12%; Agriculture, hunting, forestry and fishing 3.08%, etc.
While there was a decrease in these activities: Water supply (-7.59%) and Mining industry (-3.55%).
Meanwhile, real growth according to the main components of GDP with expenditure approach for 2016, was as follows: Final consumption expenditures of NPISH 21.9%; Changes in inventory 10.5%; Import of goods (FOB) 8.6%; Gross fixed capital formation 7.3%; Final consumption expenditure of households 6.6%; Service exports 4.7%.
While there was a decline in these activities: Government final consumption expenditures (-6.3%); Export of goods (-4.5%); Import of services (-4.3%).
